NGXASI Declines -0.17% on Losses in ZENITHBANK, JAIZBANK, FIDSON

The NGXASI declined by 0.17% to close at 238,682.92pts, as the losses recorded in ZENITHBANK (-2.13%), JAIZBANK (-7.69%) and FIDSON (-9.99%) drove the local equities market into the red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the buy pressure observed across the three tenors of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 2bps to close at 18.87%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a mildly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 1bp to close at 16.76%
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.25% to close at NGN1,343.59/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.49% to close at USD89.01pb.
