The NGXASI appreciated by 0.20% to close at 239,156.09pts, as the gains recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (+4.65%), UBA (+3.74%) and ACCESSCORP (+4.36%) drove the local equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the buy pressure observed across the three tenors of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 2bps to close at 18.85%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged at 16.76%
At the NFEM window, the Naira gained by 0.37% to close at NGN1,338.59/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.26% to close at USD88.95pb.
