NGXASI Declines -0.03% on Losses in Banking, Consumer Goods Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.03% to close at 246,019.81pts, as the losses recorded in ACCESSCORP (-5.23%), NASCON (-10.00%) and UBA (-2.82%) drove the local equities market into the red.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, driven by the buy sentiment observed across the mid and long tenors of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 1bp to close at 18.85%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 1bp to close at 16.78%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.21% to close at NGN1,326.69/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.94% to close at USD95.54pb.
