The NGXASI advanced by 0.06% to close at 242,378.13pts, as the gains recorded in SEPLAT (+10.00%), TRANSCORP (+4.54%) and GTCO (+1.48%) drove the local equities market into the positive zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flattish note, driven by the mixed sentiment observed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield remained unchanged to close at 18.75%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 2bps to close at 16.54%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated marginally by 0.07% to close at NGN1,328.22/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 5.10% to close at USD106.37pb.
