The NGXASI declined by 0.29% to close at 251,913.20pts, as the losses recorded in BUACEMENT (-3.10%), GTCO (-3.28%) and UNILEVER (-8.55%) drove the local equities market into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flattish note, driven by the weak buy sentiment observed across the short and mid tenors of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield remained unchanged at 17.83%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield advanced by 1bp to close at 15.84%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira gained by 0.06% to close at NGN1,330.47/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.37% to close at USD 103.84pb.
