The NGXASI declined by 0.16% to close at 250,808.27pts, as the losses recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (-6.16%), PZ (-9.91%) and NGXGROUP (-6.85%) drove the local equities market into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flattish note, driven by the weak sell sentiment observed across the short tenor of the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield remained unchanged at 17.80%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 4bps to close at 15.83%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira gained by 0.12% to close at NGN1,327.60/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.70% to close at USD 101.59pb.
