NGX Closes Slightly Lower as Market Correction Continues

  • Today, the Nigerian Exchange Market closed on a negative note largely due to share price depreciation in FIRSTHOLDCO (-5.09%) and ETI (-2.72%)
  • As a result, the benchmark Nigerian Exchange All-Share Index (NGX-ASI) fell by 0.16% to settle at 250,273.50 points
  • Year to date returns fell to settle at 60.83%
  • Market capitalisation also fell by 0.16% to close at N162.50tn ($122.10bn)
  • Activity level in the market was negative with the total value of stocks traded falling by 11.75% to settle at N36.07bn
  • Similarly, the total volume of stocks traded fell by 33.82% to settle at 579.25mn units
