The NGXASI advanced by 0.01% to close at 254,289.35pts, as the gains recorded in INTBREW (+6.47%), TRANSPOWER (+3.71%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.78%) drove the local equities market into the positive zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by the selling sentiment observed at the long end of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield increased by 2bps to close at 17.90%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield advanced by 1bp to close at 16.37%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated marginally by 0.07% to close at NGN1,346.93/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.47% to close at USD 103.23pb.
