Area Managing Partner, Financial services firm, Ernst & Young Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, Mr. Mark Otty, will be visiting the Head office of the Ernst & Young West African Practice in Nigeria as part of the firm’s African Integration scheme.
According to a statement on Friday, Otty’s visit to West Africa is largely to strengthen Ernst & Young’s presence across West Africa, and particularly in Nigeria, as a major component of the EY African Integration scheme.
The Chief Executive Officer, Ernst & Young Africa, Mr. Ajen Sita, was quoted as saying, “This is an exciting time for Africa. The world is taking a stronger interest in the potential we have to offer.
“Our vision is to actively participate in accelerating the opportunities to build and grow our people and clients. We are already operating as one integrated business across the continent. We are a truly African business.’’
Otty will be in the country between March 1 and 2, 2011, and will be attending the Africa Sub Area Executive meeting, which is scheduled to hold in Lagos during his stay.
He will also visit Ernst & Young clients in Nigeria, according to the statement.
“His visit assures a shared innovation of insight on how Nigeria as a country can take advantage of the opportunities of globalisation, the potential of its business growth and how Ernst & Young can assist in increasing the power of businesses and entrepreneurs in this clear dispensation of emerging markets,†the firm said.
