NSE gives 2 weeks ultimatum to Dealing Members for submission of 2010 Financials

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has given a two weeks ultimatum to Dealing Member Firms to submit their Audited Financial Statements for December 31 2010 Year End.

The Nigeria’s Exchange gave this directive in a notice Monday March 14 2011 to the Dealing Members and obtained by investadvocate in Lagos. They are to comply with this directive on or before Tuesday March 31 2011.

“Please note that, Audited Financial Statement for December 31, 2010 year end are due for submission on or before Tuesday march 31, 2011. Be guided accordingly” the NSE said.

However, the Nigeria’s Exchange affirmed that it’s Article 15(h) of the Rules and Regulations governing Dealing Members’ states that Dealing Members are required to submit to The Exchange their financial statements within 90 days of the end of the fiscal year.

According to the NSE, all Financial Statements shall be prepared according to the Nigerian Accounting Standard (NASB).
