Diamond Bank post -29.60% loss in Q1 of 2011

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Diamond Bank Plc has posted a loss of -29.60 percent (-29.60%) loss in its Unaudited Result for the First Quarter Ended March 31 2011.


This was contained in the Result Announcement of the Bank Thursday April 07 2011 to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and made available to investadvocate in Lagos Nigeria.


To record this loss, the Bank reported a Profit After tax (PAT) of N1.075 billion in Q1 of year 2011 compared to N1.527 billion in year 2010; indicating a loss of -29.60% in the review period.


Profit Before Tax (PBT) also declined from N1.999 billion in Q1 of year 2010 to N1.813 billion in the same period of year 2011; showing a decline of -9.30%.


While Gross Earning of the Bank also dipped from N24.464 billion in the Q1 of year 2010 compared to N20.271 billion in the Unaudited First Quarter Ended March 31 2011; representing a dip in Gross Earnings of -17.13% in the review period.
