Nigerian Enamelware Declares 45 Kobo Dividend, Profit up 16.5%

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Glass manufacturers, Nigerian Enamelware Plc on Friday declared a 45 kobo per share dividend to shareholders of the company as its profit after tax climbed up 16.5 percent for its 2014 audited year end.

The company said closure date of register of shareholders to benefit from the 45 kobo proposed dividend is December 18 to December 12, 2014.

Nigerian Enamelware has scheduled its annual general meeting (AGM) for December 18, while payment date is December 19, 2014, the company said in its corporate action with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

A review of the 2014 audited report of the glass manufacturer shows that profit after tax increased from N73.970 million in 2013 end to N86.155 million in the 2014 end.

However, profit before tax dropped 5.1 percent to N111.65 million in the 2014 year end from N117.67 million recorded in the same period of 2013.

Revenue climbed up marginally by 2.1 percent to N2.569 billion in 2014 end from N2.516 billion in the corresponding period of 2013.
