Greif Nigeria Offer Investors 60 Kobo dividend, Pretax Profit up 42% in 2014

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Greif Nigeria Plc, formerly known as Van Leer Containers (Nigeria) Plc said on Wednesday it has proposed a 60 kobo per share dividend to its shareholders.

The company said in its corporate action with the Nigerian Stock exchange (NSE) that qualification date for investors to benefit from the proposed dividend is April 24; while its annual general meeting (AGM) has been scheduled for April 28 and closure date March 25.

The metal drums and plastic containers manufacturing and production firm says its payment date for the 60 kobo per share dividend is May 05, 2015.

A review of the company’s audited year ended October 31, 2014 shows that pretax profit climbed up 42 percent to N43.443 million from N30.626 million recorded last year.

Similarly, post tax profit increased 11 percent to N58.029 million in 2014 from N52.469 million reported in the same period of 2013.

Revenue dropped slightly by 1.0 percent to N787.582 million from N795.200 million in the corresponding period of 2013.
