Champion Breweries still in Doldrums, Records N754.5 Million Loss in 2014

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Brewer, Champion Breweries Plc on Thursday posted a loss of N754.5 million in its 2014 audited year end compared to a loss of N1.2 billion recorded in the same period of 2014.

The beer maker maintained a loss of N1.1 billion in its profit before tax (PBT) compared to N1.7 billion recorded in 2013 end.

However, revenue climbed up 47.9 percent to N3.302 billion from N2.233 billion recorded in the same period of 2013, the company said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).   

At the end of today’s transaction on the Nigerian bourse, share price of the Champion Breweries declined 0.21 percent losing 0.01 kobo as it opened N4.71 and closed at N4.70.
