SEC Set for Q1 2015 Capital Market Committee Meeting April 22

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said its ready to host the first quarter (Q1) 2015 Capital Market Committee (CMC) meeting scheduled to hold April 22 in Lagos Nigeria.

Those who have been invited to attend the expanded session according to SEC include chief executive officers (CEOs) of all registered capital market firms such as Broker Dealer, Capital Market Solicitors, Custodians, Fund Managers, Issuing Houses, Rating Agencies, Registrars, Reporting Accountants, Trustees, Consultants)and Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS).

Also to attend the session is CEO of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Nigeria Commodity Exchange (NCX), Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS), FMDQ, NASD and President, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS).

According to SEC, one (1) member each from observer groups such as Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Debt Management Office (DMO),  Federal Ministry of Finance, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) and Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Others are the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Investment and Securities Tribunal (IST), Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC), National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), National Pension Commission (PENCOM) and Financial Services Regulation Coordinating Committee (FSRCC).

Also expected to attend the Q1 2015 CMC expanded session are the chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on capital market.
