Cornerstone Insurance Pretax Profit Dip 42.6 Percent in Q1’15 Offer Investors 2 Kobo Dividend in 2014

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Insurer, Cornerstone Insurance Plc said on Tuesday its 2015 first quarter (Q1) for the period ended March 31, 2015 dipped 42.6 percent to N152.03 million from N265.24 million reported a year earlier.

Profit after tax (PAT) also declined by the same margin of 4.26 percent from N238 million to N136.83 million declared the same period of 2015.

However, gross premium income grew from N1.70 billion to N2.107 billion reported in the first quarter of 2015; indicating a growth of 23.6 percent.

In the same vein, the insurer said its offering to its shareholders a two (2) kobo per share dividend in its 2014 audited year end.

The insurer says closure of register of members of the company is 6th to 10th July 2015, Cornerstone affirmed in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
