Seplat Q1 2015 Pretax Profit Decline 33.4% to N4.83 billion

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- First listed Nigerian oil and gas upstream firm, Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc said on Tuesday its 2015 first quarter (Q1) pretax profit declined 33.4 percent to N4.83 billion from N7.25 billion posted a year earlier.

Profit after tax (PAT) also dipped by 32.8 percent to N4.87 billion from N7.25 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2014.

Revenue grew from N22.72 billion in the Q1 of 2014 to N25.56 billion in the review period of 2015; indicating a growth of 12.5 percent, Seplat said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
