Dangote Sugar 2015 Q1 Pretax Profit Decline by 29.20%

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Sugar producers, Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc said on Wednesday its pretax period for the period ended March 31, 2015 declined 29.20 percent to N4.45 billion from N6.28 billion posted the same period of 2014.

In the same vein, profit after tax (PAT) dipped with the same margin of 29.20 percent to N3.02 billion from N4.27 billion reported in the first quarter (Q1) of 2014.

Revenue also crashed down from N25.83 billion to N22.26 billion declared in the review period of 2015; representing a decline of 13.85 percent, according to the sugar refiner in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Share price of Dangote Sugar at the end of today’s business on the Nigerian bourse dropped 4.88 percent to N6.43 from N6.76 per share losing 0.33 kobo.
