Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Beverage maker, Nestle Nigeria Plc said on Thursday its first quarter (Q1) 2015 profit before tax (PBT) dipped 50.7 percent to N3.487 billion from N7.071 billion recorded a year earlier.
Profit after tax (PAT) also climbed down 50.8 percent to N2.954 billion from N6.004 billion in the Q1 of 2014.
Similarly, revenue dropped from N33.425 billion in the Q1 of 2014 to N27.556 billion in the review period of 2015; showing a depreciation of 17.55 percent, the beverage maker said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
Share price of Nestle appreciated 1.06 percent at the end of trading on Thursday at the Nigerian bourse, it opened at N940.00 and closed N950.00; gaining N10.00 per share.
