International Breweries Reduce Dividend by 22%, Pretax Profit Dip 28.3% in 2015

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- The Ilesha based brewing firm, International Breweries Plc on Thursday said its dividend payout for the period ended March 31, 2015 reduced 22 percent to 25 kobo from 32 kobo paid a year earlier.

According to the corporate actions of the beer maker filed with the Nigerian stock exchange (NSE), the company announced that closure of register of members is July 20 11 to 25, 2015 and its annual general meeting (AGM) and payment date has been scheduled for August 10 and 11, 2015 respectively.

A review of the company’s audited report for the period ended March 31, 2015 shows that pretax profit of the brewer dipped the same margin of 28.3 percent to N2.815 billion in the review period from N3.925 billion reported in the same period of 2014.

Similarly, post tax profit of the company for the period declined 7.55 percent to N2.815 billion from N3.925 billion in the corresponding period of 2014.

Revenue also climbed up 11. 65 percent to N20.549 billion from N18.493 billion in the 2014 audited year end, the brewer said in a filing with the NSE.
