Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s top beer maker, Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB) on Tuesday said its first-half (H1) 2015 pretax profit ended June 30 fell 8.53 percent to N30.990 billion from N33.882 billion a year ago.
Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) declined 10.02 percent to N21.478 billion from N23.871 billion reported in the H1 of 2014.
Revenue inched up from N141.495 billion in the second quarter (Q2) of 2014 to N151.673 billion, indicating a rise of 7.19 percent, the brewer said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
At the close of business on the Nigerian bourse, shares in NB dipped 0.60 percent to N133.50 from N134.30 losing 0.80 kobo per share.
