Diamond Bank 2015 Q2 Pretax Profit Drops 11.7%

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Diamond Bank Plc said on Friday its second quarter (Q2) pretax profit for the period ended June 30, 2015 declined 11.7 percent to N14.193 billion from N16.072 billion recorded a year earlier.

Also, profit after tax (PAT) dropped11.8 percent to N12.155 billion from N13.786 billion reported in the same period of 2014.

However, gross earnings inched up to N83.165 billion from N78.728 billion in the same period of 2014; representing an increase of 5.6 percent, the bank said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares at Diamond Bank at the close of business on Friday at the Nigerian bourse gained 2.31 percent to N3.99 from N3.90; resulting in a gain of 0.09 kobo per share.
