Unity Bank 2015 H1 Pretax Profit Grows 11.1%

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s mid-tier lender, Unity Bank Plc said on Friday its first-half (H1) pretax profit for the period ended June 30, 2015 grew 11.1 percent to N8.775 billion from N7.898 billion posted the same period of last year.

Similarly, post tax profit increased the same level with 11.1 percent to N7.897 billion from N7.108 billion declared a year ago.

Also, gross earnings climbed up from N30.852 billion to N33.563 billion in the H1 period of 2014; indicating an increase of 8.8 percent, the lender said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares of Unity Bank on Friday at the close of business on the Nigerian bourse grew 1.79 percent to N2.28 from N2.24 gaining 0.04 kobo per share.
