GlaxoSmithKline Nigeria H1 2015 Pretax Profit Dips 66.1%

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- Drugmaker, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc said on Tuesday its first-half (H1) pretax profit for the period ended June 30, 2015 dipped 66.1 percent to N424.82 million from N1.25 billion recorded the same period of last year.

Also, profit after tax (PAT) declined 65.6 percent to N297.37 million from N863.56 million declared in the H1 of 2014.

Similarly, revenue inched down marginally by 1.4 percent from N15.66 billion to N15.44 billion recorded a year ago; the drugmaker said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

GlaxoSmithKline share price at the close of business on the Nigerian bourse went down 3.45 percent to N42.00 from N43.50 traded the previous session losing N1.50 kobo per share.
