MasterCard is extending its decade-long relationship with Operation HOPE by becoming a Project 5117 HOPE Powered By Partner. Project 5117 combats economic inequality through programs that aim to improve financial literacy, increase the ratio of business role models and business internships, and empower adults and families to become involved in the banking system and to help raise their credit scores.
Through this commitment, MasterCard will provide core operational support for the growing network of Banking on Our Future schools, HOPE Business In A Box Academies, HOPE B- Business Compact interns and HOPE Inside locations.
“We appreciate our longtime relationship with MasterCard,” said Mary H. Ehrsam, Chief Executive Officer of Operation HOPE, New York and the Division President of the HOPE Youth Empowerment Group. “For more than 10 years, Operation HOPE and MasterCard have worked together to promote financial inclusion and empowerment initiatives that enable youth and adults access to a better life.”
