Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s paramount ruler Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Ooni of Ife has passed on at the age of 85 InvestAdvocate gathered.

The Oni was said to have died on Tuesday night as the circumstance that led to his death as the time of filing in this report remains unknown.

Reports say Rauf Aregbesola, the state governor of Osun State have been briefed of the incident.

Oba Sijuade ascended the throne as the 50th traditional ruler on December 6, 1980 with the ceremonial name of Olubuse II.
