Assets Declaration: President Buhari Declares N30 Million Cash in Union Bank

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday said he has N30 million cash deposited in Union Bank of Nigeria Plc (UBN), according to assets which he declared to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

In the same vein, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, also declared his assets to the CCB and said he has a balance of N94 million and $900,000.

According to a statement by Garba Shehu, Seniour Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President  the documents submitted to the CCB, which officials say are still being inspected and will soon be made public.

Also, Buhari’s assets include five houses and two mud houses in Daura. He had two homes in Kaduna, one each in Kano, Daura and in Abuja. One of the mud houses in Daura was inherited from his late older sister, another from his late father. He borrowed money from the old Barclays Bank to build two of his homes.

President Buhari also has shares in Berger Paints, Union Bank and Skye Bank

While Osinbajo’s assets included houses in VGC and Ikoyi in Lagos, Redemption Camp, Mowe in Ogun State and a mortgaged house in the United Kingdom.

Details will be unveiled later.
