MasterCard and #WRC2015 – Sharing #WhatsNext in Retail

September 4, 2015/MasterCard

Consumers are increasingly blurring the lines between what happens on and offline. If shoppers today can check prices on their phones, order online and pick up in-person, and know if a shirt’s in stock without ever stepping foot in a store, what will tomorrow bring? Creating even better experiences for consumers will be at the forefront of the World Retail Congress in Rome.  Join MasterCard at this industry-leading event to learn more about “What’s Next” in commerce:

  • Monday, September 7, MasterCard, in partnership with PRIME Research, will release a study designed to identify trends surrounding shopping and retail conversations on social media, focused on the payments industry.
  • Wednesday, September 9, Jim Manzi, founder of APT, a MasterCard company, will deliver a keynote address on the importance of data-driven insights and experimentation for a successful business.
  • Wednesday, September 9, Mathieu Loury, SVP, Merchant Solutions for MasterCard Advisors, will host a panel on the adapting, evolving “omnishopper” and how retailers can stay one step ahead. Industry leaders from Canadian Tire, Harrods and Navabi will offer their expert opinions. Click here to learn more about our panelists. Follow the release of an upcoming report using the hashtag #OmnishopperGuide.

Inside B40, in the Foyer, we’ll feature a live product demonstration of software that helps retailers test their strategies to determine what works and what doesn’t. We’ll also be presenting a client forum on September 8 and evening activities.
