Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- Nigeria’s average price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol dropped to N95.18 in September 2015 from N104.48 recorded in August of the same year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The latest price watch for PMS by the NBS shows that the N9.30 decline in the review period is the fourth consecutive drop since May 2015 N118 was reported.
A review of the NBS price watch indicates that lowest price paid by households for petrol was in Ogun, Jigawa and Sokoto (N87), Ekiti (N87.50), Oyo(N87.72), Katsina (N88) Osun (N88.28).
Highest prices households paid for petrol were recorded in Taraba (N124.63), Yobe (119.78), Bayelsa (119.38), Akwa Ibom (118.50), Rivers(102.80)
The report presents average monthly prices actually reportedly paid by households for PMS across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
