Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Paint producer, DN Meyer Plc said on Monday it has appointed Kayode Okuwa as its new managing director (MD) following a meeting and approval by its board on October 26, 2015, according to the company in an issuers announcement with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

The paint maker says Okuwa is a seasoned and experienced professional with over 25 years post graduate experience covering manufacturing, agriculture and consultancy services.

He holds a B.Sc. (Honours) Magna Cum Laude in General Agriculture from University of Maryland, U.S.A (1984) and an MA in Agricultural Economics from Washington State University, U.S.A (1986).

He joined the Nigerian Bottling Company (NBC) in 1989 and served in various capacities before he left the NBC in 1999 as the regional general manager/head of operation.

Okuwa worked with K and K Consulting Services in 1999 and later joined Mouka Limited in 2012 where he rose to become the national business manager/head of commercial. He thereafter moved to DN Meyer Plc as the executive director (Sales and Marketing) in 2014.

He was made the acting MD of DN Meyer Plc in February, 2015 and upon his satisfactory performance, the board confirmed him as the substantive MD in October, 2015.

He has attended various local and international management enhancement capacity trainings, including management courses at the Lagos Business School.
