Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Diamond Bank Plc said on Thursday its profit after tax (PAT) for the period ended June 30, 2016 dropped 25 percent to N9.05 billion from N12.15 billion declared a year ago.
Similarly, profit before tax (PBT) declined 28.57 percent to N10.48 from N14.19 billion in the corresponding period of 2015.
Net interest income of the bank depreciated to N49.96 billion in the H1 period of 2016 from N58.62 billion recorded the same period of 2015; representing a decline of 15.51 percent, the lender said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
Shares of the Diamond Bank at the close of trading on the Nigerian bourse dipped 4.19 percent to N1.60 from N1.67 posted the past session; losing 0.07 kobo per share.
