Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-There are indications that world soft drink producer, the Coca-Cola Company is in talks with local producer Aurora Cannabis about developing cannabis (cannabidiol) infused beverage.

“We have no interest in marijuana or cannabis. Along with many others in the beverage industry, we are closely watching the growth of non-psychoactive CBD as an ingredient in functional wellness beverages around the world.  The space is evolving quickly. No decisions have been made at this time,” the company said in statement on its official website on Monday.

This is coming on the heels of talks between Coca-Cola and Canadian marijuana producer, Aurora Cannabis in producing beverages to ease physical problems such as inflammation, pain and cramps.
