Sector Performances: Oil & Gas (+0.94%), Banking (+0.57%), Consumer Goods (-0.54%) and Industrial (-0.42%).

Market activity: In today’s early trade, while total volume declined by 56%, total value rose by 72% compared to this time yesterday as investors have exchanged about 83million units of shares valued at N1.74billion. UBA (+0.70%) is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 21million units of shares accounting for about 25% of the total volume. 

Likely close: In the absence of a significant loss in the prices of DANGCEM and MTNN, the market may close up today if the gains recorded in Banking and Oil & Gas sectors persist.
