MIDDAY UPDATE: Nigerian Stocks Inch Up +0.15%, Drive by Industrial Counters

ASI as at 12.00pm: +0.15%. 

Market movers: NPFMCRFBK (+9.82%), JAPAULOIL (+9.09%),   VITAFOAM (-7.71%)  and ETERNA (-6.98%).

Sector Performances: Industrial (+0.95%), Banking (-0.13%), Consumer Goods and  Oil & Gas.

Market activity: In today’s early trade, total volume and value declined by 37% and 76% respectively compared to this time last Friday as investors have traded 32million units of shares worth about N198million. FCMB (-0.53%) is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 6million units of shares accounting for about 19% of the total volume. 

Likely close: In the absence of a significant loss in the prices of DANGCEM and MTNN, the market may close up today if the buy-interests in Industrial names persist.
