NGXASI Declines -0.28% on Selloffs in FBNH, JBERGER, TRANSCORP

The NGXASI declined by 0.28% today to close at 104,256.81pts, as the selloffs observed on FBNH (-9.90%), TRANSCORP (-7.19%) and JBERGER (-8.48%) propelled the market into the negative territory.

In the Fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed on a bullish note, as buying pressure was seen across the curve. As a result, Average T-Bills yield decreased by 114bps to close at 17.33%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield was rose by 34bps to close at 18.94%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 4.35% to close at NGN 1,492.61/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.66% to USD85.93pb.
