Nigerian Stocks Dip -018% from Losses in ACCESS, FBNH, MTNN

The NGXASI declined by 0.18% today to close at 103,952.47pts, as losses in the share price of MTNN (-1.70%), FBNH (-3.57%) and ACCESSCORP (-2.12%) drove the market into the red zone.

In the Fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly up, as we observed tepid buy pressure on the long tenor instrument. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.67%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 2bps to close at 19.29%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 1.78% to close at NGN 1,382.95/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) trended downwards by 0.44% to USD86.37pb.
