The NGXASI declined by 0.04% today to close at 104,518.14pts, as the selloffs observed in FBNH (-1.97%), WAPCO (-2.76%) and STANBIC (-1.79%) drove the market into the red zone.
In the Fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed flat, as we observed tepid sentiments across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 17.65%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 3bps to close at 19.44%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 2.35% to close at NGN 1,278.58/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.43% to USD88.67pb.
