The NGXASI declined by 0.29% today to close at 103,437.67pts, as the selloffs observed in FBNH (-4.69%), MTNN (-0.87%) and GTCO (-2.04%) drove the market into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market continued its downward trend today, as we observed selling pressure across the short and long end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield advanced by 78bps to close at 18.91%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield were up by 1bp to close at 19.31%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.32% to close at NGN 1,251.05/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 0.73% to USD91.31pb.
