The NGXASI declined by 0.71% today to close at 102,314.56pts, as the selloffs observed in GTCO (-10.00%), DANGSUGAR (-10.00%) and FBNH (-6.71%) drove the market into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note today, as we observed buying pressure across the long end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 4bps to close at 18.86%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield were up by 1bp to close at 19.27%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 7.17% to close at NGN 1,142.38/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.15% to USD90.77pb.
