The NGXASI declined by 0.06% today to close at 99,845.91pts, as the selloffs on GTCO (-3.92%), UCAP (-9.73%) and OANDO (-6.72%) drove the market into the negative territory.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a bearish momentum, as sell pressure was noticed at the long end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield rose by 45bps to close at 19.31%. In the same vein, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 3bp to close at 19.29%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 7.58% to close at NGN 1,154.08/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.25% to USD87.07pb.
