The NGXASI declined by 0.40% today to close at 99,311.54pts, as decreases in the share price of FBNH (-9.88%), NESTLE (-8.89%) and ZENITHBANK (-5.01%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed bullish, as positive sentiments was observed at the mid and long end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 7bps to close at 25.08%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bullish note, as the Average FGN Bond yield slipped by 8bps to close at 18.97%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 5.32% to close at NGN 1,300.15/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 0.95% to USD87.83pb.
