NGXASI Dips -1.18%, Dragged by FBNH, MTNN, TRANSCORP

The NGXASI declined by 1.18% today to close at 98,135.42pts, as selloffs in MTNN (-10.00%), TRANSCOHOT (-10.00%) and FBNH (-9.82%) drove the equities market into the red territory.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed positive, largely due to buy pressure across all tenors. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 2bps to close at 25.06%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note, as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 18.97%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.64% to close at NGN 1,308.52/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.36% to USD88.10pb.
