The NGXASI advanced by 0.03% today to close at 98,169.39pts, as price appreciation in TRANSCOHOT (+9.75%), MTNN (+0.20%) and TRANSCORP (+0.72%) propelled the local bourse into the green zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed bullish, majorly due to buy pressure across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 260bps to close at 22.47%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a relatively quiet note, as the Average FGN Bond yield slightly declined by 1bp to close at 18.96%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.10% to close at NGN 1,309.88/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) trended downwards by 0.31% to USD87.75pb.
