The NGXASI slightly advanced by 0.01% today to close at 98,176.76pts, as bargain hunting in banking stocks including FBNH (+10.00%), STANBIC (+10.00%) and ACCESSCORP (+3.75%) drove the domestic bourse into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed bullish, largely due to buy pressure on the short and mid tenor instruments. As a result, Average T-Bills yield fell by 18bps to close at 22.29%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note, as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 3bps to close at 18.93%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 2.24% to close at NGN 1,3392.23/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged upwards by 0.61% to USD89.55pb.
