The NGXASI declined by 0.49% today to close at 140,557.24pts, as the decrease in the prices of DANGSUGAR (-5.54%), GTCO (-3.11%) and WAPCO (-2.99%) drove the domestic bourse into the negative region.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed bearish, majorly due to the sell pressure observed across the all the tenors of the benchmark curve. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield rose by 16bps to close at 18.81%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield climbed by 25bps at 17.17%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.20% to close at NGN1,535.47/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.65% to close at USD67.61pb.
