NGXASI Dips -o.25%, Dragged by Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.25% today to close at 153,739.65pts, as the losses in UNILEVER (-4.29%), ACCESSCORP (-3.07%) and DANGSUGAR (-2.56%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note, due to buy pressure observed on the short to mid end of the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield saw a modest 1bp decline to close at 17.45%. Likewise, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 3bps to close at 15.87%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 1.03% to close at NGN 1,436.34/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.20% to close at USD64.64pb.
