NGXASI Declines -0.72%, Dragged by Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.72% today to close at 152,629.94pts, as the losses in OANDO (-9.99%), NESTLE (-9.66%) and GTCO (-4.86%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, due to buy pressure observed particularly on the long end of the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield declined by 4bps to close at 17.41%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a flat note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 15.86%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.19% to close at NGN 1,433.66/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.66% to close at USD64.46pb.
