The NGXASI declined by 1.26% today to close at 145,159.77pts, as the bearish momentum observed in DANGCEM (-10.00%), TRANSCORP (-4.66%) and ZENITHBANK (-1.64%) drove the local equities market into negative territory.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, following bullish sentiment observed along all tenors of the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield decreased by 2bp to close at 16.96%. Likewise, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield dipped by 11 to close at 15.46%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly weakened by 0.39% to close at NGN 1,448.03/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) advanced by 0.20% to close at USD64.26pb.
