The NGXASI advanced by 0.10% today to close at 143,763.13pts, as gains in STERLINGNG (+8.96%), FIRSTHOLDCO (+1.47%) and GTCO (+1.42%) drove the local equities market into green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, due to buy pressure observed on the mid to long end of the benchmark curve. As such, the Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 16.85%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded slightly negative as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 2bps to close at 15.48%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.52% to close at NGN 1,446.32/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 2.59% to close at USD61.73pb.
