NGXASI Gains +0.56%, Buoyed by Blue Chips

The NGXASI advanced by 0.56% to close at 190,427.96pts, as the gains recorded in SEPLAT (+8.33%), ZENITHBANK(+3.91%) and PRESCO (+4.05%) drove the Nigerian bourse into the positive terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note due to the buying interest observed amongst investors across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 2bps to close at 17.47%. Similarly, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 7bps to close at 16.05%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.16% to close at NGN 1,338.11/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 2.97% to close at USD69.42pb.
